Can't find your code?
First, find out where it stopped
A verification code missing from your temporary inbox doesn’t necessarily mean the inbox is broken. Check the address, timing, send status, and provider rules—in that order. It’s usually more effective than repeatedly clicking Resend.
First, tell the difference: not received or received but unusable
| What you see | Where the issue is most likely | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| The website says the email address isn’t supported | Address validation before sending. | Use a regular email address that meets the provider’s requirements. |
| No confirmation after clicking Send | The request wasn’t submitted, the network failed, or a cooldown was triggered. | Check the message on the page. Don’t submit repeatedly. |
| It says sent, but there’s no email in your inbox | The sender’s queue, email routing, or delivery may be delayed. | Keep the address, wait and refresh, then contact the sender. |
| The email arrived, but the code doesn’t work | The code expired, was replaced by a later one, or belongs to a different session. | Check that you’re using the right account, then use the code in the latest email. |
Before resending, give the current request some time
“Sent” usually means the other site accepted the request—not that the recipient’s mail server has received the email. Sender queues, spam checks, and network retries can all cause delays. FwdBay can’t confirm from the receiving end whether the other site actually sent the message.
Follow the sending site’s cooldown instructions. Wait a minute, then try once more if its rules allow. Repeated requests can invalidate older codes and cause emails to arrive out of order. When a message arrives, use the code for your latest request—not simply the one at the top of the list.
Don’t change addresses while you wait
Verification emails go to the address you entered when you submitted the request. Changing your temporary inbox won’t update the address stored on the other site. If you’ve switched addresses, return to the verification page, enter the new one, and request another email.
Temporary inboxes on this site are active for 3 hours by default. You can extend the time before they expire. Expired or deleted inboxes usually can’t be restored, so don’t rely on one as the only way to recover an important account.
Forwarding aliases require one more check
With a long-term alias, email arrives at the alias first, then gets forwarded to your regular inbox. Recent activity in the dashboard can help you tell whether FwdBay didn’t receive the message, forwarded it, blocked it, or couldn’t forward it. Even when an email is forwarded, your email provider may not put it in your main inbox.
Check that the alias isn’t paused, your regular inbox is working, and the message isn’t in spam. Before retrying a failed delivery, make sure the destination inbox is available. If the provider explicitly disallows aliases, use your own regular email address.
Still stuck? Here’s what to include when asking for help
When you contact support, include the recipient address, approximate send time, sending provider, and any error message you can see. Hide verification codes and account details. Don’t send login tokens, authenticator keys, or unrelated full emails.
If the site says a code was sent but there’s no record of it, the sending provider may need to check its outgoing mail. We can’t bypass its rules or force it to send. If you’re having trouble receiving email on this site or using the page, contact us at support@fwdbay.com. Include when it happened and what you observed so we can investigate.
